Allyson Wallace is the Head Director of the Pirate Pacesetters. Mrs. Wallace is from Killeen, Texas where she began dancing at the age of 3. She was an active member of her local studio on Company, a member of her middle school dance team and her National Champion High School dance team, the Ellison Emeralds, where she served as the Lieutenant Colonel her senior year. She went on to college where she continued to dance for the largest university dance team in the nation, the Texas State Strutters. While on Strutters, she was selected as a member of the Jazz Elite and Pom Squad teams. Mrs. Wallace graduated from Texas State in 2013 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies.

 

Once graduated, Mrs. Wallace married her husband, Ryan and moved to Wylie to pursue her career teaching and directing drill team. She began her teaching career at Clark High School in Plano as the Assistant Drill Team Director there for 8 years. During that time, she and her husband welcomed their 3 children Wyatt, Emmitt, and Presley.

 

Mrs. Wallace has been involved in drill team since she was in the 6th grade and continues to be active in the drill team community. She choreographs and judges competitions for American Dance/Drill Team. She teaches Dance I-IV in the classroom and is also involved in Wylie Theatre as their musical choreographer. Mrs. Wallace began her time at Wylie in 2022 and she is so thrilled and proud to work at Wylie High School. AHMO!!!
